Send you careful heart remember to pay attention to me oh!!How to understand the achievements of China’s diplomacy under the leadership of the CPC after the founding of the People’s Republic of China?Under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee, China’s diplomacy has withstood severe tests and made great achievements in the past 20 years and more. This has enabled New China to stand firm, break new ground and gain dignity in a turbulent international environment, and stand proudly among the nations of the world. The resolution summarizes China’s diplomatic achievements from the following aspects: “Putting an end to the humiliating diplomacy of the old China”, “opening up a new situation in China’s diplomatic work”, and “winning the respect and praise of the international community, especially developing countries”.In this regard, we can deepen our understanding from the following three aspects.First, formulate a new China’s foreign policy. After the end of the Second World War, the world gradually formed a bipolar pattern characterized by the confrontation between the two great powers of the United States and the Soviet Union. The contradictions between the United States and the Soviet Union were intertwined with the confrontation between the two camps of imperialism and peace and democracy, and the two social systems of capitalism and socialism. In view of this situation, in the first half of 1949, Comrade MAO Zedong proposed the policies of “start all over again”, “Clean the house before treating others” and “one side to the other”, that is, disrecognize the old diplomatic relations established by the Kuomintang government with other countries and cancel the imperialist privileges in China.Diplomatic relations should be considered only after the remnants of imperialism in China are eliminated. It clearly declared that new China stands on the side of socialism and world peace and democracy. In accordance with the above principles, the People’s Republic of China established diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union immediately after its founding, and with 10 people’s democratic countries successively, including Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, the Democratic Republic of Korea, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Mongolia, the German Democratic Republic, Albania and Vietnam. From April 1950 to May 1951, China established diplomatic relations with four independent Asian nations — India, Indonesia, Myanmar and Pakistan — and four European capitalist countries — Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland and Finland, making an important step in breaking the CONTAINMENT and isolation policy of the United States. It concluded the Sino-Soviet Treaty of Friendship, Alliance and Mutual Assistance with the Soviet Union, set about abolishing the unequal treaties signed between old China and foreign countries, and successively took back the imperialists’ right of customs administration, right of garrison and right of navigation on inland rivers in old China, thus putting an end to old China’s humiliating diplomacy.Second, strive for a peaceful international environment conducive to China’s construction. After the founding of new China, the Party launched active work and struggle in diplomacy.China has advocated and adhered to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and proposed that they be adopted as norms for handling international relations, which have been widely accepted by the international community. For the first time, China attended the Geneva Conference as one of the five major powers and the Bandung Conference as an important participant. We strengthened our struggle against the United States, resolutely resisted the enormous pressure from the Soviet Union and opposed the Lao Tzu Party, thus safeguarding state sovereignty, national dignity and the dignity of the Party. We will support and assist the liberation of oppressed nations, the building of newly independent states and the just struggle of people of all countries, and oppose imperialism, hegemonism, colonialism and racism. These efforts and struggles created a long-term peaceful international environment for the large-scale economic construction that new China had just begun.Third, we should open up new prospects in our diplomatic work. After more than 20 years of development after World War II, major changes took place in the international situation in the early 1970s.This provides an opportunity for the transformation of new China’s diplomatic strategy. On October 25, 1971, the 26th Session of the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 2758 by an overwhelming majority, restoring all lawful rights of the People’s Republic of China in the United Nations. In February 1972, US President Richard Nixon visited China. After talks between China and the US, the Two sides issued the Sino-US Joint Communique in Shanghai on February 28, marking the beginning of the normalization process of bilateral relations and the realization of detente in Sino-US relations. On September 25, 1972, Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei Tanaka paid a visit to China, which improved sino-Japanese relations.By the end of 1973, China had basically completed the process of establishing diplomatic relations with developed capitalist countries other than the United States and established formal relations with the European Community.China’s cooperation with these countries in economy, trade, science, technology and culture has witnessed sound development.China’s relations with eastern European countries have also been restored, improved and developed to varying degrees.China has developed friendly and cooperative relations with many countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and reached a climax of diplomatic relations on a larger scale.China has established diplomatic relations with more than 40 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, and firmly supports these countries in all aspects in their just struggle to safeguard their national independence and state sovereignty, oppose foreign aggression and interference and safeguard regional and world peace. The Party has put forward the strategy of dividing the three worlds and made the solemn commitment that China will never seek hegemony, which has won the respect and praise of the international community, developing countries in particular.Source: Party history study education women’s rights protection public welfare service hotline: 12338
